Stephen Weems was born in London England, and after graduating high school he was apprenticed to the firm of
Campbell, Smith & Co, a company witch was established in 1873 and specialized in historic decorative painting
and restoration.
As a apprentice Stephen studied at the South East London Collage of Decorative Painting and Restoration,were
he graduated top of his class and a City Guilds Diploma in his craft.
Stephen then went on too become one the firms leading craftsman to execute work in Buckingham Palace,
and many other historical landmarks in the UK and around the world.
In 1984 Stephen came to the US to begin the Restoration work at the Biltmore House in Asheville NC,when the
work was complete a new company was born between the UK firm and the US Biltmore Company,Stephen was
then offered apposition as lead decorative artist with the new company of Biltmore Campbell Smith Restorations,
based out of Asheville NC.
Stephen then spent the next 4 years working on many projects around the US for the asheville based company,
some of those projects included the State Capital Building in Tennessee, the State Capital Building in Pennsylvania,
Princeton University, and Flagler Collage St Augustine Florida.
In 1989 Stephen left the company and opened his own successful decorative painting firm in Florida.
